Panam Tales

Photos from my tour to Sonargaon Heritage site on 17th November, 2015. Took all of the photos with my previous mobile and the panoramas were stitched later using Adobe Photoshop. The heritage museum was under renovation when we visited, so didn't get a chance to capture better images.

We started early in the morning from Gulistan bus terminal. As we weren't familiar with the buses that leave from there, we had a hard time finding the bus to Narayangonj. After we got off the bus at the Sonargaon station, it took less than 10 minutes by auto-rickshaw to reach our destination. It was a nice winter morning and the fog was just starting to clear when we entered the museum. The museum was built by Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. We roamed around for an hour in the museum area before going to the heritage site, The Panam City.

The journey was a much needed one for us to refresh our mind of the pressure and fill our lungs with the freshness of the earth. Do make such short unplanned day-tours and I can guarantee it will give you the fuel you need for the toxic city life.
